Subject: Commonwealth of KY announces new Vendor Self Service portal

If you are currently a vendor who provides goods or services to the Commonwealth, this is an important notification regarding the Commonwealth's Financial and Procurement System which can impact you.

Effective May 15, 2006 a new system will be implemented for registration purposes, and effective July 1, 2006, the new system will be used to issue all payments to vendors as well as to send notification for opportunities to bid. Between May 15 and July 1, the Commonwealth will be transitioning the bid opportunities from the old eProcurement website to the new Vendor Self Service (VSS) portal.

If you are currently using the Commonwealth's eProcurement website to access solicitation and award notice information, you are encouraged to visit the new site and update your vendor record. Your existing user name and password will be moved to that new portal. If you do not currently use the eProcurement website, your record will be converted, based on existing information. Another feature that you may desire to take advantage of is the ability to receive an e-mail notifying you of each payment made to you through direct deposit.

There is a great deal of new functionality available through the new site, and you are encouraged to visit the site to insure that your information is accurate. You will be receiving additional information regarding the changes to the Commonwealth's new financial and procurement system. The Help Desk is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. EDT and is closed between the hours of 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. daily. Effective 7/3/06, the Help Desk hours will be extended to 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
